Yes. Kori is now responsible for a horse, Ellie.
Well Michael's two weeks of down-time with family, after a 4 1/2 month, is coming to an end. We spent four nights at Center Parcs in Elveden Forrest enjoying the rapids and slides at the indoor pool as well as feeding the wildlife. On checkout day we adventured off to Lego-Land land with the McNamara family. The weather didn't look too promising during the nearly 2 1/2 hour drive but God blessed our day holding the dreary weather back.
Kori recently worked with the Club Beyond teens and helped prepare them to perform the Lifehouse skit - Everything. The CB drama team performed in Poland during a mission trip as well as in our worship services at our home station. They did and amazing job!
The Boston Bruins swept the Montreal Canadiens 4-0 in a seven game series, on Wednesday, April 22nd, 2009. The Bruins advance to the conference semi-finals.
It's an exciting weekend for Bostonian's with a three team performance and start of the Boston marathon.
The Bruins didn't just win game 2, they crushed the Canadiens in a 5-1 win and now lead 2-0 in a best of 7 game series. Follow the Bruins on their quest to bring the cup home by clicking here.
The Red Sox emulated the Bruins performance and decimated the Baltimore Orioles.
Although the Celtics performance was nothing short of inspiring, forcing an OT, they were unable to maintain their composure and suffered defeat in game 1 of the 2009 NBA playoffs.
Additionally, Kori is crazy busy with dress rehearsals and performances. She is working with the teens of our worship service who will be performing the Lifehouse skit - Everything.
The Bruins honored the 2009 NCAA hockey champion team from Boston University during a break in the first period. The Boston Terriers won the 2009 NCAA hockey championship in Bean Town style--hard blue collar work.
The Terriers were down 3 to 1 with only a minute left in the game and in the hockey world, coming back from such a large deficit with so little time left would be like getting the cartels in South America to stop selling drugs. However, this didn't discourage the Terriers from digging in and working diligently until that final whistle would blow.
Amazingly, the Terriers were able to score a goal putting them with in one point from forcing an overtime. However, with seconds remaining it appeared as though the Terriers would suffer defeat, that is until they did the unimaginable and scored another goal tying the game.
The Terriers would triumph over Miami and take home the championship title and this is why the Burins were honoring them during the first period of the first 2009 Stanley Cup playoff game against their biggest rival...Montreal, Canadiens.
This was the head coaches 30th tournament win, which broke the old record of 29, and the senior classes 100th win!
The Terriers 2009 NCAA hockey championship game is truly an inspiration to never quit, never give-in to unbeatable odds, and most importantly--never stopping working towards your goals until that final whistle has blown.
BTW...the Bruins won their first 2009 Stanley Cup playoff game against the Canadiens, 4-2.
